Résumé

Le séminaire “Israël – Palestine” s’inscrit dans une volonté de décloisonner les champs d’études israéliennes et palestiniennes fortement structurés par l’histoire du conflit et la mobilisation des sciences humaines et sociales dans la construction des grands récits nationaux.

Alicia Magnolfi, doctorante du Centre Max Weber, interviendra pour présenter l’avancée de ses travaux issus d’un récent terrain réalisé dans les espaces israélo-palestiniens.

A partir de l’observation des trajectoires de jeunes juifs Français d’origine nord-africaine installés en Israël, ses recherches proposent une analyse sociologique de ces migrants singuliers. L’étude de ces parcours biographiques, qui s’inscrivent au carrefour d’histoires migratoires familiales antérieures, interroge les connexions humaines et géographiques au centre de l’espace méditerranéen. Cette analyse des mobilités contemporaines entre le Maghreb, la France et Israël invite également à questionner la diversité, les formes et les représentations des migrations en Méditerranée.

Pour discuter cette communication, la sociologue Sylvaine Bulle spécialiste des questions d’engagement (PR, ENSA) et Yann Scioldo-Zurcher historien des migrations contemporaines (CR CNRS, EHESS) apporterons un éclairage pluridisciplinaire à cette recherche en cours.

SUMMARY

The “Israel – Palestine” seminar stems from a desire to decompartmentalize the fields of Israeli and Palestinian studies strongly structured by the history of the conflict and the mobilization of the Humanities and Social Sciences in the construction of major national narratives.

Alicia Magnolfi, doctoral student at the Max Weber Centre, will present the progress of her work resulting from recent fieldwork carried out in Israeli-Palestinian spaces.

Based on the observation of the trajectories of young French Jews of North-African origin living in Israel, her research offers a sociological analysis of these unique migrants. The study of these biographical journeys, which lie at the crossroads of previous family migratory histories, questions the human and geographical connections in the centre of the Mediterranean area. This analysis of contemporary mobilities between the Maghreb, France and Israel also invites us to question the diversity, forms and representations of migrations in the Mediterranean.

To discuss this communication, sociologist Sylvaine Bulle, specialist in issues of engagement (PR, ENSA) and Yann Scioldo-Zurcher, historian of contemporary migrations (CR CNRS, EHESS), will provide multidisciplinary insight into this ongoing research.
